How We Work

Commercial furniture and interior design in Oklahoma City

A decade of work behind every project.

Most commercial furniture dealers fall into one of two camps. Some are small operations that move product quickly — none or limited design support, modest service, transactional by nature. Others are large dealerships built around big institutional contracts — heavy on process, less responsive to smaller, faster-moving needs.

Focus is built differently. We have the design depth, installation capability, software, and project management to handle the largest jobs we take on — commercial furniture and interior design for Okana Resort, office furniture and workstations for the OU Health Science Center, multi-phase municipal projects for the City of Oklahoma City — and we have the speed and flexibility to handle a ten-chair order with the same care. We've never been interested in being one thing or the other. You shouldn't have to choose.

What's actually under one roof

In-house commercial interior design and space planning

Our in-house commercial interior design team produces 2D layouts, 3D renderings, and full interior specifications using CET, Revit, and AutoCAD. You see the space before you commit to it. For clients in the OKC metro, we come on-site to measure, listen, and develop options that match how your team works, how your patients move through a clinic, how your students use a classroom, or however your space needs to function day to day. For projects further out, we work virtually using detailed photos, floor plans, and video walkthroughs — the design process and quality are the same. For larger projects, this means renderings, finish boards, and revision rounds. For smaller projects, it might mean a quick CAD layout to confirm fit.

For all furniture projects, the initial consultation, preliminary quote, space planning, a review with design changes, and a final detailed quote are complimentary. Standalone commercial interior design work — broader FF&E selection, cabinetry, finishes, and projects not tied to a furniture purchase — is billed separately.

Project and site management

Furniture is one of the last trades to land on a project site, which means we routinely coordinate with general contractors, A&D firms, electricians, low-voltage installers, and facilities teams to make sure delivery and installation hit the right window. We've done this on multi-phase, multi-vendor projects — including Okana Resort, where we coordinated alongside multiple vendor teams, designers, project managers, and ownership groups simultaneously without disrupting parallel trades.

In-house commercial furniture delivery and installation

Our warehouse and installation crew are ours — not subcontractors. When product arrives from manufacturers, our team receives, inspects, assembles, and stages it at our facility at 11 NE 11th St in Oklahoma City. We prefer to inspect everything before it goes to your site, because catching damage or shortages at our dock is much better than catching them at yours. We don't schedule an install date until the product is physically in our warehouse — which is one reason we've never missed a committed install date. Beyond project-tied installation, we also offer standalone commercial furniture installation services — reconfigurations, office moves, and relocations — whether the furniture came from us or from somewhere else.

General contracting and trade coordination

Some projects need more than furniture and interior design. For full commercial buildouts, Focus can serve as a commercial general contractor — sourcing materials and managing vetted subcontractors for flooring, electrical, lighting, and the other trade scope that comes with a full interior buildout. You get one point of contact across the full scope instead of managing four vendors yourself, which shortens the timeline, tightens the coordination, and gives you a single accountable relationship for the whole project.

Ongoing service after install

The relationship doesn't end when the last chair is set in place. Because our installation crew is in-house, not subcontracted, the same team that installed your furniture is available to come back when you need them. Warranty claims, reconfigurations, adjustments, replacement parts, an office move six months in, a workstation that needs to be added to an open run, a chair that needs to be re-tensioned, a desk surface that got damaged in a move — we handle it. Warranty work is covered under the manufacturer's warranty; non-warranty service work is billed at standard labor rates.

This is one of the quieter reasons our clients keep coming back. Ongoing service is built into how we work, not an add-on we figure out after the fact — and the fact that you're talking to the same team that installed the furniture in the first place means faster diagnosis, faster resolution, and a real relationship rather than a service ticket.

Curation across 100+ commercial furniture manufacturers

A major Oklahoma university's list of previously approved furniture manufacturers includes more than 700 brands. We've narrowed it down for you to the 100+ we actually trust — the ones that ship on time, hold up to commercial use, come through inspection without damage, and offer the design flexibility our clients need. That curation is the value. You're not specifying from a catalog of every line in the industry; you're getting recommendations from a dealer who has been vetting these manufacturers for a decade and knows which ones to put in a high-traffic classroom, an executive office, a healthcare waiting area, or a hotel lobby. We spec for fit, value, and budget, not for margin or to hit a manufacturer's quota.

Local accountability

We're an Oklahoma City company at our core. Our Uptown Oklahoma City showroom at 2226 N Broadway sits in the same commercial corridor where the company has operated since 2017 — with previous showrooms in Midtown and Downtown OKC before settling on the current Broadway location. Our warehouse is a few blocks east at 11 NE 11th St on Oklahoma Avenue, where we receive, inspect, and stage every order before install. Ownership, showroom, warehouse, and install team are all here in Oklahoma City. When something needs to be resolved, you're calling our team directly — not routing a ticket through a national account system. That proximity means faster response, faster resolution, and a relationship that builds over time.

Where we work

We're headquartered in Uptown Oklahoma City at 2226 N Broadway. Our showroom, warehouse, design team, and in-house installation crew are all based in OKC. We serve the full Oklahoma City metro — every city within a 30-mile radius of our showroom, including Edmond, Norman, Moore, Yukon, Mustang, Midwest City, Del City, Bethany, The Village, Nichols Hills, Choctaw, Newcastle, Blanchard, Tuttle, and surrounding communities. Beyond the metro, we regularly work with clients across Oklahoma, including Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Lawton, Stillwater, Enid, Shawnee, Bartlesville, Muskogee, Ardmore, Durant, Weatherford, and Ponca City. We've also delivered commercial furniture, interior design, installation, and reconfiguration work across Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Ohio, and beyond — with capacity to deliver anywhere in the continental US.

For projects within driving range of Oklahoma City (usually Oklahoma and surrounding states, roughly a day's drive), our own crew handles delivery and installation. For projects further out, we partner with vetted contract installation crews — the products, project management, and process are exactly the same; only the labor at the final mile changes. We've done it both ways, many times, without issue.

Our answers to typical questions on commercial furniture and design projects.

The operational and structural questions buyers and project teams ask once they're seriously considering working with us. (For high-level positioning questions — about brand availability, project size, A&D collaboration — see the FAQ on our homepage.)

  • How long does a typical project take?

Commercial furniture typically ships in six to twelve weeks from the manufacturer, with about one week of transit. Quickship lines can ship in days to a few weeks depending on the configuration. Custom finishes, premium veneer, and fully configured systems can take longer. Project timelines beyond the furniture itself depend on scope — a small order can install in a single day; a multi-phase corporate floor can take weeks of coordinated install rolling out by department. We give realistic timelines at quote stage and update as the order moves. For lead time details specific to your product category, see the relevant product pages — each one covers lead times for that category.

  • How do you coordinate with our general contractor and other trades?

Furniture is one of the last trades to land on a job site, which means we routinely coordinate with GCs, electricians, low-voltage installers, and facilities teams to hit the right delivery and install window. We've done this on multi-phase, multi-vendor projects. Okana Resort is one example where we worked alongside multiple vendor teams, designers, project managers, and ownership groups without disrupting parallel trades. We expect this kind of coordination and plan for it from the start.

  • What if something arrives damaged or wrong?

This is the main reason we inspect every order at our warehouse before scheduling delivery — catching damage at our dock is much better than catching it at yours. If something gets through inspection and is found wrong at install, we handle it: replacement order, manufacturer warranty claim, loaner furniture if needed during the gap. You're not chasing the manufacturer; we are.

  • What happens if we need warranty work after install?

Most commercial furniture comes with multi-year manufacturer warranties (often 10–12 years on systems furniture and casegoods; varies by line). Because our installation crew is in-house, we handle warranty service directly — diagnosis, manufacturer claim, replacement parts, reinstallation. You call us, not the manufacturer. (Standard labor rates apply for non-warranty work.)

  • Can you reconfigure or expand what we already have?

Often, yes — if the existing furniture is from a current commercial line. Bring us the manufacturer and model and we'll tell you what's possible. We also help offices transition from older systems to current ones in phases, so a full replacement isn't required all at once.

  • What if our project is outside Oklahoma City?

We're headquartered in OKC and serve clients nationwide. For projects within driving range, our own crew handles delivery and installation. For projects further out, we partner with vetted contract installation crews — the products, project management, and process are exactly the same; only the labor at the final mile changes. On-site consultations and site walkthroughs are most practical in the OKC metro; further-out projects work through detailed photos, floor plans, and video walkthroughs.

  • How does payment work?

Most furniture orders require a deposit at order placement (typical industry standard is 50%) with the balance due at delivery. Larger institutional and contract engagements often follow different terms based on the contract, including net-30 or progress billing for multi-phase projects. We'll walk through payment terms at quote stage so there are no surprises.

  • Do you offer financing or leasing?

For most projects, no — commercial furniture is typically a capital purchase.

  • Do you take on residential or home-office projects?

We're built for commercial and contract furniture work — office, healthcare, education, hospitality, industrial, and government. We focus there.
